上午 · Morning: 当哥特遇上春节 / Where Gothic Meets Spring Festival

石室圣心大教堂 · Sacred Heart Cathedral

今天一早，我们来到了石室圣心大教堂——亚洲最大的全石结构哥特式教堂。

第一眼看到它的时候，昭昭愣住了。她在广州已经看了好几天的中式建筑，突然面前出现了一座尖尖的、高高的、完全不一样风格的建筑。“这是教堂吗？怎么这么大？“她问。

大，是真的大。这座教堂从1863年开始建造，整整花了25年，直到1888年才完工。最了不起的是，它全部用花岗岩砌成——墙壁、柱子、飞扶壁，每一块石头都是花岗岩。在那个没有起重机的年代，工人们一块一块地把巨大的石头搬上去、切割、打磨、拼接，用了四分之一个世纪。

走近一些，最吸引人的是那扇巨大的玫瑰花窗。石头被雕刻成花瓣一样的放射状图案，阳光透过彩色玻璃洒进教堂内部，地面上落下一片斑斓的光影。

教堂内部的彩窗也极为精美。一扇描绘圣灵的彩窗，光线穿透其中，颜色在墙壁上缓缓流动。

Did you know? The Sacred Heart Cathedral (石室圣心大教堂) took 25 years to build (1863—1888) and is constructed entirely from granite — making it one of the few all-stone Gothic cathedrals in the world and the largest in all of Asia. In an era without modern machinery, every block was quarried, carved, and hoisted by hand. The result is a building that has survived wars, typhoons, and over 160 years of tropical weather.

但最有意思的，是这座教堂在春节期间的模样。

西方哥特式的尖拱和飞扶壁之间，挂满了中国红灯笼。教堂正门前方，“欢度春节”的横幅与哥特式门廊并存；铁栅栏上系着红色绸带，门前摆着盆景年桔。这不是冲突，而是一种只有在广州才能看到的东西方融合之美。

一百六十多年前，法国建筑师在这里建造了一座巴黎圣母院式的教堂；一百六十多年后，它安安静静地站在广州闹市中心，门口挂着红灯笼，两侧蹲着中国石狮，背后是岭南的蓝天白云。

这大概就是广州这座城市最迷人的地方——它什么都能装下。

Did you know? What makes this cathedral truly unique is its East-meets-West character. Look closely and you’ll find Chinese stone lions flanking a Gothic entrance, red Spring Festival lanterns hanging from iron fences beside pointed arches, and bonsai trees standing where you might expect European hedgerows. The cathedral wasn’t just built in China — it has become Chinese, absorbing the culture around it over more than a century.

中午 · Midday: 百年古树之岛 / The Island of Ancient Trees

沙面岛 · Shamian Island

离开教堂，我们穿过一座小桥，来到了沙面岛。

沙面给人的第一印象是安静。广州是一座喧闹的大城市，但踏上沙面的那一刻，车声和人声突然远了。取而代之的是巨大的樟树和榕树撑起的绿色穹顶，阳光从树叶缝隙间洒下斑驳的光点。

这些古树才是沙面最美的部分。有些榕树的气根已经长成了新的树干，一棵树看起来像一小片森林。有些樟树的树冠大到遮住了整条街，走在下面就像走在绿色隧道里。

岛上一块标识牌列出了沙面的五个身份：

1. 海上丝绸之路文化地理坐标 — 千年商路的起点之一
2. 改革开放先行地 — 现代中国开放的缩影
3. 露天建筑博物馆 — 欧式老建筑一字排开
4. 最美古树公园 — 百年樟树和榕树成荫
5. 国际化街区 — 如今的咖啡馆、艺术空间

Did you know? Shamian Island is a tiny sandbank (沙面 literally means “sandy surface”) in the Pearl River that served as a foreign concession from the 1860s to the 1940s. Today it’s a tree-lined oasis with over 150 colonial-era buildings. But the real stars are the century-old trees — massive camphor trees (樟树) and banyan trees (榕树) whose aerial roots and sprawling canopies create a natural cathedral of green. The island is officially recognized as Guangzhou’s “Most Beautiful Ancient Tree Park.”

下午 · Afternoon: 霍格沃茨在广州 / Hogwarts in Guangzhou

Harry Potter x Starbucks Reserve

沙面岛上藏着一个意想不到的惊喜——一家哈利波特主题星巴克臻选店。

还没走进去，门口的装饰就让昭昭兴奋得拉着我们跑。入口的设计仿佛通往另一个世界，暗色调的木质门框上挂着魔法世界的标志。

店里最受欢迎的体验是分院帽！昭昭戴上那顶著名的帽子，学着电影里的样子闭上眼睛，等待自己的”命运”被宣布。旁边的工作人员配合得很好，用低沉的声音说：“嗯…让我看看…格兰芬多！“昭昭高兴得跳了起来。

再往里走，是九又四分之三站台的还原场景。砖墙中间”消失”了一部分，一辆行李车半截嵌入墙内，旁边还有海德薇的笼子。昭昭推着行李车，假装自己正在穿越墙壁，脸上的表情认真极了——仿佛真的相信墙的另一边就是霍格沃茨特快列车。

Did you know? This Starbucks Reserve on Shamian Island is one of only a handful of Harry Potter themed Starbucks in the world! It features a working Sorting Hat experience, a replica of Platform 9 3/4 complete with Hedwig’s cage, and magical decorations throughout. A merchant artist on-site even draws pencil sketch portraits of visitors — a Muggle kind of magic.

沙面岛上还有一位画师，昭昭坐在小凳子上让他画了一幅铅笔素描——虽然不是魔法画出来的，但画里的昭昭笑得比本人还好看。

晚上 · Evening: 新与旧 / The Old and the New

永庆坊 · Yongqingfang

日落后，我们来到了永庆坊。

永庆坊是广州旧城改造的一个典型案例。这片曾经破旧的西关老街区，被重新修缮后变成了一条集餐饮、文创、非遗展示于一体的步行街。青石板路面、灰砖老墙、精致的满洲窗，每一处细节都被仔细保留和修复。

夜晚的永庆坊灯光柔和，游人如织，很美。

但在这片被精心修缮的历史街区中间，有一栋白色的房子格外醒目。

它没有被翻新。没有新的灯光，没有文艺的招牌，没有咖啡馆。它就是一栋普普通通的老房子——白色的外墙已经有些斑驳，窗户是老式的木框窗，门口还挂着居民的晾衣绳。

这是一栋祖屋，房主拒绝了拆迁和改造。

在一片被精心修缮的历史街区中，这栋未翻新的祖屋显得格格不入，却也最真实。周围的老房子都被改造成了商铺和展馆，只有它还在那里，安安静静地做着一栋住人的房子。

爸爸跟昭昭说：“你看，旁边的房子都变成了漂亮的商店，但这一栋还是有人住的老房子。”

昭昭想了想说：“那住在里面的人，出门就是商店，也挺方便的吧。”

我们都笑了。小孩子的逻辑有时候比大人的感慨更接近生活的真相。

Did you know? In Chinese urban renewal, a “nail house” (钉子户) is a home whose owner refuses to sell or relocate. The white ancestral house (祖屋) in Yongqingfang is a famous example. While the entire historic block was beautifully renovated into a cultural district with cafes, museums, and craft shops, this family chose to stay. The result is a striking contrast: a plain, unrestored home standing among polished heritage buildings. It raises a question that every modernizing city faces — who gets to decide what “preservation” means? Sometimes the most authentic piece of history is the one that hasn’t been curated at all.

今天是一场关于融合的旅行。

哥特大教堂门前挂着红灯笼，西方石雕旁蹲着中国石狮——东方与西方的融合。沙面岛上百年洋楼下，榕树气根垂入中式庭院——历史与自然的融合。哈利波特的魔法世界藏在一栋欧式老建筑里——幻想与现实的融合。永庆坊里精修的街区中间，一栋白色祖屋坚守着自己的位置——新与旧的融合，或者说，对峙。

广州这座城市，就是在这些融合中长大的。

Today was a journey through fusions. Red lanterns on Gothic arches — East meets West. Century-old banyans sheltering colonial facades — nature meets history. A Sorting Hat inside a European heritage building — fantasy meets reality. And in the heart of a beautifully renovated historic block, one plain white house that refused to change — the old standing its ground against the new. Guangzhou is a city built from these contradictions, and it wears them beautifully.
